Windy Walk Trekking Vagamon
Vagamon offers an exhilarating trekking experience through its natural gem, Vagavanam. Located in the Idukki district of Kerala, this serene forest area is one of nature’s finest gifts, offering a peaceful escape into the wilderness. The Windy Walk Trekking route through Vagavanam takes you on a journey that will make you fall in love with Mother Nature.

The adventure begins at the Kumarikulam checkpoint, where visitors must obtain permission and purchase tickets to enter the forest. The trekking fee is ₹155 per person, and foreign nationals are charged ₹305 per person. Children can enjoy the trek for ₹50 (prices may vary). Once the formalities are completed, a guide will lead you on a 3-hour trek through the tranquil surroundings.
During the trek, you will reach the forest watchtower, located about 1 kilometer from the starting point. The panoramic view from this tower is breathtaking, offering a mesmerizing sight of Vagamon, the Kulamavu Dam, its reservoir, the Kizhakkalachi hills, and the mountain ranges around Vagavanam. After soaking in these picturesque views, the journey continues towards Chillalukattu hills, where you can spot elephants roaming freely and enjoy clear views of the reservoir.
